Merry Christmas!

Kylie's First Christmas In true 7 month old fashion, the beads on the tree were more interesting than the presents.
Eventually, she discovered the presents!

But stockings come first, and since Kylie was such a good girl this year, Santa brought her Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck!
The tags are the BEST part.
Scratch that. The wrapping paper is the BEST part.
Sratch that. The presents are the BEST part.
Ky loves books, so Daddy gave her a few from the Dr. Suess collection.
She also received this gumball machine that dispenses plastic balls while playing a little song. The balls are clear with various items in them - diamond ring, teddy bear, lollipop and wrapped hard candy. Her favorite part is picking up the balls (with one hand or both) and checking out what's inside. She also likes the music it plays and tipping it over to get the "gumballs" out from the top.
A baby drum set!
Learning how to operate her first cell phone!
Kylie's been in this position for a few months now, and it feels like any day she'll start crawling. She's been rocking back and forth on her hands and knees. Sometimes she'll get in the yoga pose, downward dog. She's trying to figure it out, and I know she'll get it soon.
She loved all her presents. Here she is with the drum set, which turns into a rolling device which she can crawl after.
Grandma and Grandpa Byers gave her this super cool walker/rider. She hasn't quite figured out how to get it to mover herself, but she definetly enjoyed being pushed and pulled around on it!
Kylie had a great first Christmas. Can't wait til next year!

House of Lights

A visit to this house was the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season. Every inch was covered with lights. Dan's friend Brian gave us a tip that this house beats every holiday light show in Boise, and I have to admit this was pretty amazing. The pictures do not do it justice.

Oh yeah, that's Santa in his sleigh with all the presents and the Reindeer! Kylie was all bundled up in her new coat and boots. She was helping everyone get into the spirit with her Santa hat.

Snow Day

Today was Kylie's first snow day! I got her all bundled up in her bunting bag and hat and took her outside for some fun in the snow!! This little girl is definetly a snow bunny. Now, if she was only old enough to wear snowboarding boots...
My little SnowGirl!

Brrr...it's kind of cold.
Man, why do I have to sit in this old chair?!?! (Next spring I promise we will be getting new patio furniture!)
Oh yeah, the camera's out. Better smile!
I'm not sure if you can tell by the imprints around her, but I tried laying her down to see if she'd make a snow angel. Defininte no go. She sort of freaked out when the snow started dropping on her. But once I sat her back up, she was as happy as Frosty.

Plastic Bags

Oh man. This plastic bag provided us with 30 minutes of pure entertainment. Can you believe that if you were to shake around a plastic bag it would make a baby laugh? Either Kylie has quite the imagination or she is easily amused - or both!

Of course, Mommy was closely supervising this little game. We are well aware of the dangers of plastic bags.
She crawls backwards. It's just what she does.
...But she will get that bag!
Here's the video. Had to cut it short on the second clip to move Ky to the floor. Don't worry!

Santa Baby

Get ready for the most adorable little Santa impersonator you've ever seen! This photo shoot was done to get a picture for our Christmas card this year. But I just had to share all of these because I'm pretty sure they will brighten anyone's day.
This one is my personal favorite.

Look for me on our Christmas Card 2009!

Peek-A-Boo

Dan discovered this little game one afternoon when she was waking up from her nap. It's a variation of peek-a-boo. You lay the blanket of her face and she'll get really quite and still. Seconds later, you (or she) moves the blanket down and she starts laughing and laughing. It's a fun game that we play before bed and at naptime.
