My Beautiful Daughter

During Grandma Grove's visit, we had a lot of fun. I had to work some of the time, but that didn't stop the two from bonding. Ky went on many fun walks, enjoyed some time at the Eagle Farmers Market, and even had her first trip to the zoo! Of course, she was too little to appreciate the animals, but she did have a good time. We even ran into my OBGYN, Dr. Grissom, who loved seeing how much Kylie had grown.
Here are some pictures taken by my mom during her stay. I'm pretty positive I have the most beautiful daughter in the world.

1st Rolls

We were so excited when Kylie rolled over by herself for the first time. Yes, it was just a half roll, from belly to back, but we're counting it! She is so amazing and growing so fast!

WARNING: Turn the volume WAY down. I get very excited at the end of the video...

Bath Time

Here are a few pics of Kylie from after her bath time. She loves the water - I think she finds it relaxing. And to help her relax even more from her busy day as a growing baby, I give her baby message - which she loves!

Here's Ky at 2 weeks post-bath. Her umbilical chord didn't fall off til a few days after!
3 Months. We love the hooded towel look.

Getting ready for baby message!

And we finish with a little tummy time and back rubs.

Candy Land

This little outfit was a gift from Cindy at the AT shower. Kylie loved it, and looked super cute in it too. We had multiple photo shoots in it, but these came out the best. Probably because Daddy was there to entertain her. (Kylie absolutely adores Dan and gets such a kick out of him. He can make her crack up like no one else.) We fall deeper and deeper in love with her every day!

Excuse us Mom!

Ann Taylor Baby Shower

The Ann Taylor girls were so nice to throw Jia and I a double baby shower! Jia had her little Shae'a about 1 month before Kylie. It was so much fun being pregnant with her, and finally getting the two babies to meet, face to face!

Kylie was slightly out of sorts that night because Mommy gave her a bath before we left. Usually, bath time means bed time is soon, so Ky was not happy when Mommy woke her up to go party. ...I learned my lesson, and now we don't do bath time if we are needing to be awake and happy. Poor baby. She was a trooper though and stayed awake for most of it. She couldn't pass up meeting most the cute ladies I work with!

Here she is with my girl Danna.
There's baby Shae!
Cindy was so great with the babies. It was so cute because Shae kept reaching for Kylie's hand, but she was not having it. So not interested...for now anyway.
(I wish there were more pictures! I remembered to take them at first, but we all got to talking, and before you know it, the night was over.)

Thank you Maddy, Sarah, Becky, Danna, Jia, Carmen, Jenn, Cathy and Cindy for a fun night and being so great with my baby girl!

IKEA Adventures

Well, the main adventure was in the lighting department. Kylie loves looking at lights. And the more creative the fixture is, the better! Future light designer perhaps? Only time will tell.

Road Trip: Portland!

And we're off!! At about 4:30 pm, we have the girls in the back and the boys in front, and the bikes in the bed. Ready for a change of scenery, a nice vacation, and Kylie to meet Grandpa Byers for the first time.
Grandpa and Kylie hanging out by the big tree. She loved hanging out in the shade and getting some quality time with Frank (and Lucky)
Meanwhile, Tony and Lucky are catching up on old times. For those of you who don't know...Lucky came into our lives about 2 years ago. He was a stray, and 'chose' Jan & Frank to be his parents. Dan and I kept him for about a year, because our boys had such a strong bond with him. But after we found out Kylie would be joining us, we had to give him back to his original parents. Now, he's a happy little camper in Portland, but is always so excited to see his best friend, Tony!
Mother and Son. Thanks Jan and Frank for making such a handsome guy!
Cameras were going at all times. How could we not get a pic of Dan hard at work?
You know there's food around when all 5 poms are in the same room at one time. (Lucky's wise and is stading back a little.)
Waking up to a beautiful day in Vancouver, WA.
Frank takes great pictures with his awesomely high tech camera. Most of the pictures from this post were taken by him!
Jan working in her fabulously delicious garden.
Portland has a farmers markets every day of the week. We made it to two of them. This is one of the entrances to the main Portland FM. It was inspiring to see all the hand-crafted artwork, clothing and pottery. And so fun to people watch! Portland is so diverse and beautiful.
Kylie slept most of the time we were out and about.
Here are a few images of the amazing local produce... ...and flowers...
...and fruit...
...and baked goods.
These berry soda's were quite the hit at this Pearl Street Farmers Market. They had a few flavors, but our favorite was the Boysenberry.
Taking a break to feed Miss Kya.
And a snack break for the parents.
Back in the car seat, and ready to roll.
This flower shop had gorgeous flowers out front. We're blocking them in this picture, but they were so vibrant in color.
Monique's. (Dan has an Aunt Monique)
I love cities!
And we LOVE Noodle and Company. Wish they had one in Boise.
Our road trip was so much fun. Dan sold a few bikes, we ate some great food, and Kylie was in heaven being loved so much by her family. Check out her adventures in IKEA.
